Skegness is set to be warmer than Spain this week, with temperatures already having reached 20 degrees Celsius earlier this week
This week has just been getting sunnier and warmer, but the Met Office says the temperature will dip somewhat during Easter weekend. On top of that, winds are expected to be very light too.
In Barcelona this week temperatures have topped 18 degrees Celsius, which is destined to rise at the weekend.
Skegness weather outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
A cloudy start on Thursday but becoming brighter and colder. Thereafter remaining chilly but dry with some sunny spells by day but cold overnight with a risk of frost.
Back in July 2018, a study combining data from the Meet Office and recorded weather forecasts concluded that Skegness is officially the driest place to visit in the UK, beating the likes of Devon, Yorkshire, Wales and Cumbria. The study revealed that you are least likely to get caught in a downpour in Skegness than anywhere else in the country, as it tops the charts as the staycation destination to visit with the driest weather and an average daily rainfall of 0.20mm.
A year later, in July 2019, Lincolnshire recorded its hottest day ever, with temperatures soaring up to 35.9 degrees Celsius.
